There was a story on This American Life last week about “Hitler’s yacht.” The story takes place almost entirely in Jacksonville…it’s really interesting. They talk a lot about the history of Jacksonville and stuff.

***Also, I forgot (among my ten thousand updates this morning) to mention the yummy dinner I made for me and my mom last night, without a recipe. It was all roasted (my favorite method of cooking by far). I made roasted salmon filet with zucchini, onion, garlic, tomato, balsamic vinegar and herbs and lemon juice and stuff. I also made roasted corn on the cob rolled in kosher salt and roasted red potatoes with herbs de provence. YUM! My mom was impressed and my cooking mentor, my brother-in-law Matt, would have been proud.

yeah i replied to the one i got before i went to lunch...like the second you sent it...
anyway, yeah i wish i coulda gone, eating on campus is depressing. maybe we can go tomorrow?

yeah, i just got your email. for some reason, a lot of your replies from work come late. i guess it has something to do with unf's connection or something? anyway, yeah we could probably do that. i get out of class at 11:15.

that sounds good. i made some pan roasted salmon with fresh tomato, garlic, basil, balsamic and olive oil on sunday and we had zucchini and squash on the side.

i heard bits and pieces of that story. i need to download it and save it so i don't forget about it. it sounded very interesting.

roasting is my favorite method of cooking too.
